July 12 Celebration Day
Dulcimers play from 8-9 am, Scott Greeson will add live entertainment from 9 am 12 noon, Kiwanis Peanut Day, clowns entertaining children with balloon art and face painting from 9 am 12 noon, free corn on the cob, other activities TBA.

August 16 Purdue Day at the Market
Angie Klink, author of “Purdue Pete Finds His Hammer” and “I Found U” will do book signings from 9:30-11:30 am. Purdue Pete will also be on hand to do a signing of the Purdue book, pose for photographs, and provide autographs from 10:30-11:30 am. Enjoy a ride through the downtown area on the Boilermaker Special from 10 am 12 noon. Many vendors will be dressed in black and gold and have their booth spaces decorated as well.

September 6 Feast of the Market
From the Market to the Kitchen learn about, and taste new and heirloom produce varieties, and sample cheeses, meats, etc. as vendors cook, grill, and provide samples of their produce and products. Enjoy the aroma and grab a sample as you browse through the Market area. A local chef will be providing cooking demos throughout the morning. Entertainment by the Lafayette Flute Choir.

October 11 Scarecrow Contest and
Trick or Treat at the Market
Customers can vote for the most creative scarecrow displayed by vendors with the winner receiving a free space for the 2009 Market. Many vendors will be dressed in costume and providing treats. Entertainment by Triple S Sassy Snake Stompers.
