2. Can I just show up and get a spot? Daily Rental is on a first come first serve basis if space is available. It is advised that Vendors contact the Lafayette - West Lafayette Development Corporation before they wish to arrive for the first time. Vendors still must complete application and follow rules for operation.
3. Are dogs allowed at the Market? No dogs are allowed in at the Farmer's Market due to health concerns and City Ordinance.
4. Are produce vendors required to grow what they sell? There are several categories for Vendors and products must be labeled. Vendors growing most of what they sell: Vendors selling Indiana produce grown by others; Produce grown outside Indiana; Ready to eat Products.
5. Who sponsors the Lafayette Farmer's Market? The City of Lafayette provides for the market and the Lafayette - West Lafayette Development Corporation administers the market and its promotions.
6. Who can be a food vendor? Are there special requirements for ready-to-eat items? Yes. Please see Vendor Policies.
7. Who should I contact if I have a complaint about a vendor? Vendors are independent contractors and complaints about products purchased from vendors should be directed to that vendor. General comments and suggestions about the Farmers Market should be directed to the Lafayette - West Lafayette Development Corporation.
8. Why don't you have a year-round market? The dates of operation are set by the growing season, availability of products and city ordinance.
9. What if I lose something while at the market? Is there a lost and found? No. The Market and the Vendors are not responsible for lost items.
10. When is the best time to come to the market? The market is open Tuesday and Saturday mornings and Thursday afternoon/evenings.
